As part of the project ‘Eco-Industrial Parks Programme II – National Implementation in Ukraine’ (GEIPP II – Ukraine), which forms part of the Global Eco-Industrial Parks Programme and is implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) with the support of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine and funded by the Swiss Government through the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), the following methodological guidelines have been developed:
In the context of the implementation in Ukraine of the DSTU 9328:2025 standard, which establishes a systematic framework for the development of industrial parks based on the principles of resource efficiency, the circular economy, good governance and the EIP model, a specialist seminar will be held for professionals involved in the assessment, management and certification of industrial parks.

Programme
The methodological guidelines are intended to serve as a practical bridge between the provisions of the standard and actual practices at the level of the industrial park and the conformity assessment body. Their aim is to ensure a common understanding of the standard’s requirements, transparency in assessment, and proper preparation for certification, particularly with regard to the documents, data, procedures and practices that can demonstrate compliance with sustainability criteria.
A separate section will be devoted to the methodological approaches set out in the developed guidelines, in particular:
For industrial park management companies, the seminar will provide a practical understanding of how to integrate the standard’s requirements into operational activities: from establishing a management system and organising services to setting up monitoring of environmental and social indicators.
Particular attention will be paid to preparing for voluntary certification and achieving EIP classification levels.
Following the seminar, proposals, expectations and training needs of stakeholders will be compiled for consideration during the finalisation of methodological materials and the preparation of further training on the implementation and certification of eco-industrial parks.
