The Kyiv Investment Forum 2025 is scheduled to be held in Berlin in October and November. According to the First Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Mykola Povoroznyk, Kyiv and Berlin have signed a memorandum to this effect.
According to him, holding the Kyiv Investment Forum in Berlin symbolically emphasises Germany's solidarity with Ukraine, its support and significant role in the partnership for the development of the Ukrainian capital.
‘Today, Berlin plays a leading role in the political and economic life of Europe. It is a centre of innovation. That is why the German capital is an ideal place for international leaders, investors and experts to meet, united by a common desire to assist Kyiv in its recovery and development,’ said Mykola Povoroznyk.
He added that this year's forum will focus on the economic recovery and sustainable development of Kyiv in the midst of war. In particular, it will focus on innovation, energy efficiency, digital transformation and environmental safety as the main areas for attracting investment in the recovery and development of the Ukrainian capital.
‘Today, Kyiv is the capital of resilience. Despite enemy missile and drone attacks, the city lives and works. In the face of constant threats and challenges, Kyiv has already survived its third winter, and all the city's life support systems are now operating normally. The city is restoring damaged residential buildings and social facilities and implementing important infrastructure projects. Kyiv's resilience contributes to the further unification of Europe and the increased attention of local communities to sustainable development in the face of challenges and threats. The forum participants will focus on the strategic partnership between Kyiv and European municipalities in promoting innovation, sustainable development and inclusiveness,’ said Mykola Povoroznyk.
The Kyiv Investment Forum, organized by the Kyiv City State Administration, has been held since 2012. Due to Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine and the related security risks, in 2022 and 2023, at the invitation of Brussels Mayor Philippe Klose, the Forum was held in the Belgian capital. For the Ukrainian capital, the event has become the main platform for promoting international partnerships, attracting investment and presenting innovative solutions for sustainable development.
