Kyiv and Amsterdam will cooperate in the areas of health care, social protection, IT and digital development of the city

As part of his participation in the Fast Track City-2023 Conference, First Deputy Chairman of the KMDA Mykola Povoroznyk met with the Vice Mayor of Amsterdam, Mr. Alexander Scholtes. During the meeting, agreements were reached on cooperation in the areas of health care, social protection, IT and digital development of the city. Mykola Povoroznyk wrote about it on his Facebook page.

In particular, it was about providing healthcare institutions with all the necessary equipment and medicines, providing emergency medical services to the people of Kyiv.

"A separate important issue that was also discussed is the solution to the task of psychological rehabilitation of Ukrainians who experienced all the horrors of the war - these are internally displaced persons who were directly affected by the Russian troops; residents of Kyiv - Kyivans, who are constantly under psychological and physical pressure from Russian attacks with missiles and drones; all our military personnel who return for psychological and physical rehabilitation from the front line to health care facilities in Kyiv. That is why psychological rehabilitation, i.e. mental health of the population, is a priority area for us in the capital's healthcare sector. Taking into account the work of the Amsterdam City Hall on this issue, I suggested to the leadership of the capital of the Netherlands to join the implementation of a critically important for us project on the mental improvement of the people of Kyiv," wrote Mykola Povoroznyk.

He noted that currently, with the participation of Kyiv's sister cities, we have created a Platform for the support and recovery of the capital of Ukraine after the terrorist attacks of the Russian Federation.

"This year, we plan to involve new cities in cooperation to support the reconstruction and sustainable development of Kyiv. Therefore, I invited Amsterdam to join this Platform and sign the Declaration concluded within the framework of the Kyiv Investment Forum - 2022. This will be possible in Brussels, during the Kyiv Investment Forum 2023. At the end of the meeting, I once again offered the vice-mayor to conclude a cooperation agreement between Kyiv and Amsterdam." Mykola Povoroznyk noted.
