Kyiv and Berlin signed an agreement on a partnership between the two cities. As a sign of the importance of cooperation with the Ukrainian capital for Berlin and as a sign of solidarity with Ukrainians, a ceremony was held for the mayors of the two cities to pass through the Brandenburg Gate. This was announced by the mayor of the capital Vitaliy Klitschko.

"Berlin is a city of freedom. And today, German friends symbolically demonstrated that Kyiv, Ukraine will always be free and will be part of the European family, Vitaliy Klitschko noted. - Berlin, among the cities of Western Europe, received the largest number of Ukrainians fleeing the war. Currently, more than 65 thousand of our fellow citizens live here. And the city continues to help them," Vitaliy Klitschko emphasized.

Berlin Mayor Kai Wegner noted that partnership and cooperation with Kyiv are among the priority projects for the Berlin government. And the German capital is interested in deepening cooperation and will continue to support Kyiv.

They discussed, in particular, the mayors of the two cities and further assistance and the transfer of city buses and municipal equipment from Berlin to Kyiv. It was also about the assistance of the German capital in the creation by Kyiv of a municipal prosthetics center for the military. Berlin is already ready to send several prosthetics technicians from innovative Berlin enterprises to transfer the experience and practical training of Ukrainian specialists. Many Ukrainian soldiers are currently being treated and undergoing rehabilitation in Berlin clinics. And the city government contributes to this.

"Medical assistance, prosthetics, rehabilitation of defenders is a very important issue for Ukraine. And, I hope, our cooperation with Berlin, which we will develop in this direction, will help many wounded Ukrainian soldiers," Vitaliy Klitschko emphasized.
