Today the meeting of the leadership of the Department of Economy and Investment of the Kyiv City State Administration, members of the Standing Committee of the Kyiv City Council on Budget and Socio-Economic Development with the Deputy Mayor of Krakow on Sustainable Development Mr Jerzy Muzyk took place.
The talks took place on the day of the Investment Forum of the City of Kyiv-2021, to which a delegation from the Republic of Poland was invited to participate.
"The development of the partnership with Poland is very important not only for Kyiv but also for Ukraine as a whole. We very much appreciate the Polish support and development of relations between our states, which is one of the priorities of Ukraine’s foreign policy, ”Vyacheslav Panchenko, First Deputy Director of the Kyiv City State Administration’s Department of Economy and Investment, said during the meeting.
He also noted that most foreign investment in Ukraine comes to the capital, and today Kyiv needs investment projects, modern technologies, new interesting ideas and, accordingly, partners to implement them.
"We hope that the participation of the delegation from the Republic of Poland in the Investment Forum of the city of Kyiv will launch new joint mutually beneficial projects between the twin cities of Kyiv and Krakow. After all, the capital of Ukraine is interested in deepening bilateral relations in the areas of mutual investment and exchange of experience in socio-economic development, "he added.
Vyacheslav Panchenko also informed the Polish guests that the city authorities are currently actively working on the Kyiv City Development Strategy until 2035, the implementation of which will help transform the capital into an even greener, safer and "smart" city, which will provide ample opportunities for development and implementation. and the well-being of its inhabitants.
In turn, the Deputy Mayor of Krakow for Sustainable Development Jerzy Muzyk shared his impressions of Kyiv:
"Kyiv is a truly European and modern city. This is my first visit to Kyiv, and I am impressed by the beauty of the Ukrainian capital. There is a fairly active pace of development of the city and its powerful potential that needs to be realized. I hope that the long-term fruitful cooperation between Kyiv and Krakow will continue in new, interesting, socially useful and mutually beneficial projects. "
In recent years, cooperation between Kyiv and Krakow has been actively developing. In particular, the Days of Kyiv in Krakow took place in 2018, and a monument to Anna Kyivska was officially unveiled in the Polish city within a year. In addition, there are constant exchanges of cultural professionals.
