The All-Ukrainian public organization ‘Poruch’ has conducted a series of training sessions on entrepreneurship and business skills, practical aspects of entrepreneurial activity, and strategic business development for people affected by the war in Ukraine. This is stated in a letter from the public organization to the Department of Economy and Investments of the Kyiv City State Administration.

The training sessions were organized with the assistance of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Ukraine as part of the project ‘Supporting Inclusive Recovery to Ensure Sustainability and Security for People in Ukraine’ with financial support from the Government of Japan.

The aim of the training series is to strengthen the overall entrepreneurial activity of people affected by the war from the Kharkiv, Kyiv, Odesa, Lviv and Vinnytsia regions. In Vinnytsia and Lviv regions, priority is given to internally displaced persons (IDPs), people with disabilities, those affected by the war, veterans and their families, businesses that relocated between 2014 and 2024, and/or businesses started by IDPs. 

As part of the project, representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, as well as those who want to start their own business, are offered the opportunity to participate in 32 training sessions. The training project includes live and online training sessions on topics such as ‘Start Your Own Business!’, ‘Business Planning for Entrepreneurs’ and ‘Development Strategy for SMEs’. The ‘Start Your Own Business!’ training session is aimed at start-up entrepreneurs and those who are just planning to start their own business.
