The United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO) invites Ukrainian businesses to join an online networking event to meet Japanese companies and explore opportunities for joint business ventures in Ukraine. Selected partnerships may receive grant funding of up to US$6 million per project.
UNIDO invites Ukrainian companies to take part in the networking event ‘Japan-Ukraine Partnerships for Green Industrial Recovery (Agribusiness, Food Value Chains and Water Infrastructure Sectors)’, which will take place on Tuesday, 26 May 2026.
The event will be held in English and Japanese with simultaneous interpretation.

The event is organised as part of the ‘Project on Green Industrial Recovery in Ukraine through Technology Transfer and the Establishment of New Enterprises in Collaboration with Japanese Private Companies’, funded by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan (METI), with a total budget of US$188 million. The initiative promotes technology transfer, industrial cooperation and skills development between Japanese and Ukrainian industry.
The project aims to benefit over 30,000 Ukrainians, as well as to test, implement and adapt 47 cutting-edge technologies in priority industrial sectors.
The project also offers specific business and investment opportunities. During this event, 11 Japanese companies currently operating in the agribusiness, food value chains and water infrastructure sectors will be presented, and they are in the process of finalising their feasibility studies.
Following an analysis of the results, companies that meet the ‘Go/Stop’ criteria will proceed to the pilot technology demonstration phase and may receive grant funding of up to US$6 million per project – creating a unique opportunity for testing, implementing and scaling up technologies in Ukraine.
This event will bring together stakeholders from the grant project and potential partners interested in collaboration, particularly in the fields of agribusiness, food value chains and water infrastructure.
