International agency Moody's has increased the rating and forecast of Kyiv.

The increasing of Kyiv rating displays a well-balanced policy, which is conducted by city authority and the moods prevailing in the business and financial circles of the city. Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Gennadiy Plits shares this opinion

‘Agency determined our forecast as ‘positive’, raising it from ‘stable’. It means that the world business community sees those steps, which are taken by city authority for the aim to stabilize and improve the situation in the capital. Yes, this is not easy - at least because of the military conflict in the east that caused a lot of facts of internal migration – and this is a burden on the city budget, many correlations in social programs and plans, despite all this we have done positive changes. We have repaired more roads than ever before, we have open new schools and kindergartens, reduce queues, arrange parks and squares, simplify the conditions for doing business. It is also important, that before, to the cadence of Vitali Klitschko, authorities only accumulated debts, and we are the first who began to pay off with them and do it systematically and moderately. Of course, there are still a lot of things to be done, but it is nice to understand that both Kyiv citizens and the world agree – changes have come. Moreover, they are positive. I am sure that rating could be higher, however, it correlates with the rating of the state’, - emphasize Gennadiy Plis.

Recall that the International agency Moody's has increased credit ratings of Kyiv and Kharkiv. Rating of Kharkiv was increased from Саа3 to Саа2. At the same time rating forecast was changed from ‘stable‘ to ‘positive’. Rating of Kyiv was increased from Са to Саа3, rating forecast was also changed from ‘stable‘ to ‘positive’. This is a result of increasing Ukraine's rating under obligations in Ukrainian and foreign currency from Caa3 to Caa2 and with a change in the forecast from ‘stable’ to ‘positive’.
