Applications for grants for veterans and their families and microgrants under the "Own Business" programme have been launched

The submission of applications for the next period under the programmes "Own Business" and "Grant for Veterans and Their Families" has started and will last until 30 June inclusive. This was reported by the Kyiv City Employment Centre.

Both entrepreneurs who already have business experience and beginners who are taking their first steps in business can receive a microgrant (grant).

The microgrant funds can be spent on the purchase or leasing of equipment, purchase of raw materials and supplies, marketing and advertising services, rent, and commercial concessions.

This will help Kyiv residents realise their business ideas.

To do this, you need to follow just 5 steps:

  1. draw up a business plan;
  2. submit documents through the Diia;
  3. defend your business plan online at the Kyiv City Employment Centre;
  4. obtain a decision from the State Employment Service and open an account with Oschadbank;
  5. receive funds to the account and start working.

A prerequisite for receiving grants is the creation of new jobs. To receive a microgrant, you must

  • UAH 75 thousand - to register as an individual entrepreneur;
  • up to UAH 150 thousand - to create at least one job;
  • from UAH 150 thousand to UAH 250 thousand - to create at least two jobs.

In order to receive a grant, a veteran's spouse must create a job in the amount of

  • up to UAH 250 thousand - to create one job;
  • from UAH 250 thousand to UAH 500 thousand - two jobs.

For a combat veteran to receive a grant:

  • up to UAH 250 thousand - to create one job;
  • UAH 250 thousand to 500 thousand - two jobs;
  • from UAH 500 thousand to UAH 1 million - four jobs on a co-financing basis: 70% of the project cost is public funds, 30% is the recipient's own or credit funds.

Funds are refunded in the form of taxes and fees paid.

Additionally.

The "Own Business" programme has been in place since July 2022, and the "Grant for Veterans and Their Families" was launched in April 2023.

Since then, 1,700 winners have been selected, more than 4,000 new jobs have been created, and about UAH 500 million has been allocated for business creation and development.

In addition, these programmes create the necessary conditions for citizens, regardless of age, gender, marital status or health status, to do business, ensuring economic inclusion.
