The German federal company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH (GIZ Ukraine) together with Visionest Institute in Ukraine (Estonia) are launching a new project to strengthen the export potential of Ukrainian SMEs!

The project aims to bring together Ukrainian SMEs with EU companies and experts to increase their readiness to enter the EU market. During March-April, through a series of online dialogues led by European experts and a number of industry sessions between representatives of EU businesses and associations and Ukrainian SMEs, participants will gain practical knowledge for sustainable business development on energy efficiency, environmental responsibility and resource optimisation.

The main goal of the project is to help Ukrainian SMEs integrate into EU markets through interaction with European companies and experts.

The project will involve 20 Ukrainian companies from various sectors, selected from previous EU4Business: SME Recovery, Competitiveness and Internationalisation initiatives and grantees.

During the project, the selected SMEs will have the opportunity to:

- Learn the key export requirements of EU markets

- Get acquainted with ESG standards and requirements for their implementation

- Master innovative approaches to process management

- Develop approaches to resource optimisation strategy

- Establish contacts with potential partners from the EU

The project ‘Innovations for Internationalisation: Building a Ukraine-Europe Dialogue for SMEs’ was developed by Visionest Institute in Ukraine (Estonia) within the framework of the EU4Business: SME Recovery, Competitiveness and Internationalisation programme, co-funded by the European Union and the German Government and implemented by the German Federal Company Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH GIZ Ukraine. The programme aims to support Ukraine's economic sustainability, recovery and growth, create better conditions for the development of Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and support innovation and exports.
