Kyiv signed a memorandum with the European Investment Bank on cooperation in implementing city investment infrastructure projects and attracting financial resources for primary support of the capital's critical infrastructure. The signing ceremony was held as part of the Investment Forum of the City of Kyiv-2022: "Greater Kyiv: Sustainability. Innovations. Sustainability".

The parties agreed on cooperation in the preparation, financing and implementation of potential investment projects, the implementation of which is a priority for the city of Kyiv during the war and related restrictions.

In particular, it is about the possibility of purchasing services for the modernization of the rolling stock of the Kyiv underground line as a project for priority investments, with an estimated cost of 450 million euros, the document says.

Today, with the participation of the European Investment Bank, the "Kyiv City Electric Transport" project is being prepared for implementation, the implementation of which will begin in 2023.

In addition, as part of the Investment Forum of the city of Kyiv-2022, an agreement was reached with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on the preparation of projects in the areas of energy security, financing of emergency liquidity of communal assets, compensation for import losses and other measures to ensure the stability and stable life of the Ukrainian capital, with an estimated cost of 100 million euros.
