Kyiv is on the list of six most transparent European capitals from 26 cities. These are the results of a pilot study by the International Organization "Transparency International".
According to Transparency International Ukraine, Kyiv has become a leader thanks to the convenient national public procurement system ProZorro, the public register of electronic declarations, and the completeness of information on Kyiv's official portal.
“The city authorities do everything for maximum openness and transparency of their work. We have implemented the project "Open Budget", opened the KCSA document circulation, information about tenders and auctions is open, and all meetings of the Kyiv City Council commissions are held with obligatory online broadcasting, - said the Mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko. - Experts who have investigated the transparency of Kyiv have noted that we do not have enough information about the salary of Mayor of Kyiv, but also these data are open and published. "Everyone can download the payment information of the Mayor of Kyiv and Deputy Head of Kyiv City State Administration on the city's open data portal".
Vitaliy Klitschko added that the city authorities are making a lot of efforts to implement the ideas of transparency, openness, and accountability to the city community. It is constantly improving its mechanisms for accessing public information and is also planning to modernize the Public Information Accounting System to make it more convenient for users.
