The Kyiv City Council has expanded benefits and preferences for small and medium-sized businesses affected by the pandemic. Thus, amendments to the Regulations on financial and credit support of small and medium enterprises in the city of Kyiv (dated September 21, 2017, №46 / 3053) and the decision of the Kyiv City Council “On some issues of comprehensive support of economic entities of the city of Kyiv for the duration of the restrictive measures” (December 24, 2020, № 25/25) were supported by 99 deputies.

“Privileges and preferences for the capital's business were introduced by Kyiv`s authorities a year ago. And these benefits continue to operate. At the same time, at today's session of the Kyiv City Council, I submitted to the deputies a draft decision on expanding benefits for small and medium-sized businesses in the capital city. And I am grateful to the deputies that we gathered online at this difficult time and supported such necessary for business decisions. We understand that by introducing such benefits - both for business and for Kyiv residents in general - the city will not receive much money in the budget. But we are going for it because we understand how difficult it is for entrepreneurs today to hold on and for people to survive”, the Mayor of Kyiv added.

Thus, in particular, the approved changes concern:

Reducing the size of the share from the current 50% to 1 hryvnia in the maintenance of the owners of public catering establishments. Grounds near permanent buildings and seasonal and outdoor terraces.

Increasing the amount of financial and credit support for small and medium enterprises. Compensation of interest not only on loans that were introduced a year ago but also on “credit lines”. And also - to expand the list of small and medium-sized businesses that are entitled to such compensation. And about increasing the number of partner banks in this program.

Reduction of the fee for placement of outdoor advertising facilities and advertising on public transport up to 50%.

Also, we will remind that from April 5 and till the end of the action of severe restrictions car owners on the territory of the city of Kyiv are released from payment for parking on platforms of the municipal enterprise“Kyivtransparkservice”.
