On April 4, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine has launched an official international technical assistance coordination portal (ITA) in Ukraine - ProAID. The site contains complete updated information on current international assistance projects to Ukraine, their goals, initiators, donors, and the status of implementation.

"Open data is an important characteristic of a contemporary, transparent state. It is also an effective tool to combat corruption. During 2018, more than 600 international donor projects worth over $ 6 billion were implemented in Ukraine. These are truly significant funds, the effectiveness of which at least depends on effective control of the public and stakeholders. The ProAid portal today opened a wide range of opportunities for this, raising standards of transparency in public administration, reducing corruption risks in implementing donor assistance projects", - said Maksym Nefiodov, First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.

The ProAID Portal is an international technical assistance information system, which is an updated version of the previous test model of the OpenAid portal. Today, the portal contains the largest updated database of international assistance projects and programs in Ukraine with full detailed information and project documentation on the current projects of the ITA and the stage of their implementation. It is anticipated that the project database will be constantly filling and updated, and the ProAID portal itself will be complemented by new features and data analysis tools.

The portal allows any user to easily find and receive information about the projects of the ITА using special filters by type of assistance and financing; regions; donors, executors, beneficiaries, and recipients of the ITA projects; terms of the project. In addition, the portal allows you to get acquainted with the interactive analysis of international assistance in Ukraine.

Among other things, the ProAID portal allows initiators and performers to register new projects of the ITA, as well as to re-register them. To do this, you need to fill in with contacts of the project initiator, complete the relevant registration fields, and attach the relevant project documentation. After these conditions are fulfilled, the portal will automatically form the registration card of the project. After that, the Administrator of the Department of State Investment Projects and Development Support of the Ministry of Economic Development should approve the project.

The ProAID portal development project was implemented with the support of the Office for Effective Regulation of BRDO and the Association "IT Ukraine" and its participants, as well as the Reform Support Team of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.

Creation and launch of the portal are stipulated by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated February 15, 2002, No. 153 "On Creation of a Unified System for the Involvement, Use and Monitoring of International Technical Assistance", and by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated October 21, 2015, No. 835 "On Approval of the Provisions on Data Sets to be Published in Form of open data".
