Ukraine has risen in the ranking of innovation countries by 43rd place in 2018 according to the ranking of The Global Innovation Index (GII) and entered the TOP 10 countries with the highest rate of innovation efficiency. Сountries that combine a certain level of innovative resources with more optimal outcomes. Ukraine this year is part of the group of the most efficient economies, which also includes Switzerland, Luxembourg, China, the Netherlands, Moldova, Malta, Hungary, Germany, and Sweden.

The Global Innovation Index (GII) provides detailed indicators on the innovation performance of 126 countries, accounting for 90.8% of the world's population and 96.3% of world GDP.

Today, a wide range of high, middle, and low-income countries uses the Global Innovation Index (GII) as a tool for improving the efficiency of innovation.
