Kyiv received the prestigious "World Smart City Award Special Recognition" for the city application "Kyiv Digital". The awarding ceremony took place at the Smart City Expo congress in Barcelona. Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko announced this on his Telegram channel.

This is the largest annual world event where experience and achievements in creating "smart" cities are discussed and the best innovative cities and projects are recognized," wrote Vitaliy Klitschko.

This year, the capital of Ukraine was recognized among cities from around the world. Kyiv received recognition for its achievements in the development of the "smart" municipal management system.

"Unfortunately, I could not receive the award in person, but soon it will come to Kyiv. Despite all the aggressor's attempts to hack us, we continue to implement digital technologies to provide Kyiv residents with online services, to strengthen security, and create a mobility system in the city. New challenges make Kyiv even more sustainable, technological and stronger!" Vitaliy Klitschko noted.
