From November 27, 2023 to March 29, 2024, the Seed Money Facility of the European Strategy for the Danube Region accepts project proposals for the development of the Danube macro-region. This is reported by the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine as part of the announcement of the second competitive selection of projects for financing within the Danube Regional Program for 2021-2027 as part of the implementation of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (hereinafter referred to as EUDR).

EUDR is one of the four EU macro-regional strategies aimed at strengthening transnational cooperation in the region, overcoming disparities in its socio-economic development, uniting and coordinating the efforts of all participants to implement joint projects. Within the framework of the EUDR, non-EU countries cooperate on equal terms with EU member countries in 12 priority areas, which contributes to greater cohesion of the peoples of the Danube macro-region and the acceleration of European integration processes.

The main focus will be on the preparation of projects corresponding to the 12 priority areas of the EUSR, which will be implemented and financed under any financing scheme available in the region.

The seed funding fund is a starting step for preparing projects for national, European, transnational or cross-border funding, as well as for attracting support from private investors, international financial institutions or public-private partnerships.
