Memorandum for the implementation of public-private partnership projects

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko and First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation on Public-Private Partnership Projects between the Kyiv City State Administration and the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade.

"I am convinced that the signing of this Memorandum will be the first step to unite the efforts of the Ministry of Economic Development of Ukraine and the city of Kyiv to implement public-private partnership projects, focused primarily on the needs of Kyiv residents and guests. And the capital will show an example to other Ukrainian cities how, having a small budget, to implement large-scale infrastructure projects and projects in the field of education and health care", - Vitali Klitschko said.

He expressed confidence that the signing of the Memorandum will bring concrete results in the form of implemented projects in the nearest future.

"We understand that without investment the development of a modern state is not possible. And we do our best to attract investors to implement projects in the capital. Because investments are not only attracting money to the economy but also additional jobs, paying taxes, developing both the city and the state”,- Vitali Klitschko added, assuring that the city authorities pay great attention to this issue.

The mayor also noted that the city authorities are making every effort to ensure that business in Kyiv operates in a transparent environment, without bureaucratic obstacles and corruption.

Vitali Klitschko reminded that 60 percent of all investments in Ukraine last year "came" to Kyiv.
