Kyiv City Council deputies have adopted a decision that allows completing the approval of pre-design proposals and continue to prepare an investment tender for a project to build a residential area with a full range of services on the 37-41 Bakynska street in the Shevchenkivskyi district. This decision was supported by 64 deputies.

The investment project envisages the transfer of the production base of Communal Enterprise "Kyivkomunservis" from 37-41 Bakynska street to another site determined by the city. In the vacated area, the approximate area of which is 6.90 hectares, a residential district with a full range of services will be built. In particular, it concerns the construction of a children's preschool educational institution for 107 places and a school for 358 places, which will be transferred to communal ownership. At the same time, the total housing area will be about 110 thousand square meters. These are twenty-storey residential buildings with a total area of 109,935 square meters.

Non-residential buildings on the site  - a garbage loading station, a weighing station and a transformer station - were built in 1985. The garbage station has not been operating since the mid-1990s.

After approval of the detailed plan of territory for the reconstruction of the residential area Syrets within the Ryzka, O. Teligy, Bakynska, Chaplygina, Yasnogirska, Kotovskoho, Shchuseva street, the Kyiv Investment Agency, which is the customer of the project, will take action to allocate land for the project.
